This December, the new University Mental Health Charter was published by Student Minds in partnership with Universities UK, the NUS and AMOSSHE (Association of Managers of Student Services in Higher Education).

It is intended that the Charter becomes a UK-wide scheme to recognise and reward those institutions that ‘demonstrate good practice, make student and staff mental health a university- wide priority and deliver improved mental health and wellbeing outcomes.’

The charter is a voluntary award and quality improvement scheme which will recognise universities who have an exceptional approach to promoting and supporting the mental health and well-being of students.
